You don’t have to stop toilet training when you go on vacation. If you plan in advance, toilet training can proceed, even while traveling.

Be sure to have your toddler’s standalone potty chair. If you need to, you might want to stop by the side of the road, set the potty chair up in the passenger seat, and let your little one use it there. Potty liners, or small plastic bags, will be important to have with you. It will make clean up a lot easier.

If you bring the potty chair, be sure to remember paper or wipes for your toddler. It should be the same kind he or she uses at home. Children can be fussy enough on a long car trip without having to get used to new things.
